“Ever hear Alton Brown say he won’t own a kitchen tool that does only one thing? As cookbooks go, Food Network Magazine 1,000 Easy Recipes pretty much defines ‘multi-purpose.’ It’s got hearty food and party food; starters and sides to boost up to mains; treats to grill indoors or out; breakfasts that work as dinner; pizzas and pasta for two or a crowd… the list—or should I say menu—goes on. Say you want to eat more fish: choose from Scrambled Eggs With Smoked Salmon, Fish Chowder, Tuna-bean Salad or Jerk Swordfish Panini. The Lemony Salmon Burgers, even with canned salmon, are quick-to-assemble, moist and flavorful.
Variety, simplicity, tons of tips to teach you and save you time and money…thank you, Food Network Magazine!”

Wish I had returned it. Very confusing to follow; difficult to find recipes you're looking for. Not what I would have expected from the Food Network.

I love the several pages of suggested menus that cover a complete meal (appetizer, entree, snack, dessert, beverage) for almost every occasion!
I really like the variety available in this cookbook.

Instead of one rigid recipe for a single type of say, potato skin, this book will offer dozens of variations on each simple idea. True, it's not written in the typical recipe book format, but for creative cooks who find themselves just pulling stuff out of their shelves to see what they can put together, this is a great collection of simple food ideas. It isn't all appetizers, but quite a wide array of meals, snacks, beverages.

I love the food network, like so many people, but I do not always have the time to sit down and write out each recipe that I love. This cookbook does that for me. There are so many of the recipes that I know and love, right at my fingertips. This is great for special occasions, but mostly for when I want to whip up a quick, and healthy, family meal. I am looking forward to buying more books by the food network.

I love this book. Many recipes for all parts of meals. Simple to use and few ingredients. I have used many of the recipoes for all occasions.
I can see where this book is not for the inexperienced cook. Directions are few, to the point and not instructional.
