I have bought these books for the youngest of my grandchildren and this latest addition was as big a hit as If you give a mouse a cookie. The little ones love to hear these stories and the 8 year olds love practicing their reading skills by reading them out loud to the younger kids. Thanks for a great series!

My granddaughter love the series. It was the first book she wanted to read Christmas morning. Now I have to find a dog like the one in the book. We have a pig, cat, moose and mouse. Thanks for another great laptime book!

I bought my little ones these books for Christmas, and they love them! They are one and two, and we will go through them over and over. They'll swap them out. My youngest mostly likes the pictures, but he'll sit patiently while I read the words for my daughter. She tries to say the words while I read. After I finish reading about the dog and his donut, we read about the moose and his muffin or the pig and her party...I wasn't sure about these books when we ordered them, but all in all a great purchase.

Another wonderful addition

We love these books. My now 7.5 year old daughter has all of the books that are similar to this such as Pig a Pancake and Mouse a Cookie. They were her very favorites as a toddler. Now that she can read on a 6th grade level, she still goes back to these for pure enjoyment. I was a bit surprised this got a bad review for not rhyming, I've never heard such a silly thing. Wasn't aware that all children's books had to rhyme.

Not the best book we have ever read. It doesn't rhyme and the illustrations are a little lackluster.
