Rise and shine! It’s almost opening time at the zoo and the zookeeper and his mischievous monkey sidekick scramble to make sure the flamingos are on their toes and elephant has wiped his nose, the giraffes stand up straight and all the animals look great, and that’s just a small part of their busy morning routine. There’s so much to do before the human visitors arrive. Once the gates open, the fun begins, with all sorts of silly antics and even sillier sounds. But look closely, things aren’t always as they seem!
Catchy rhymes, wild and wacky illustrations of creatures of every shape and size, and a fun twist make Kathleen Long Bostrom and illustrator Guy Francis’ The View at the Zoo great fun for all who read it. (Ages 2-4)

I got this book for my son when he was just a few months old. He has always shown interest in the book. Now that he is 1.5, it is one of his favorites, We read it almost every night, sometimes a few times a night. My son calls it "the zoo" and loves to point and name different animals. He especially has great fun looking for the zoo keeper and his monkey. I think this book is perfect for a child to grow with.
