It is filled with everything you could want for a great weekend read...I say that because it was so addictive it only took me the weekend to read it (btw I have 2 boys so I cannot read 24hrs/day)! LOL It is a "one more page" book...you find it 4am and saying "oh just one more page"...that is what I was doing.
The characters are so well developeted and the story twists and turns in perfect harmony and moves along very quickly!
Now I decided to read this only after seeing previews for the upcoming show...like Twilight & Trueblood...there is always more to know if you have read the book. I am really glad I picked it up to read due to the TV show as from reading other reviews saying "if looking for Twilight...you won't like don't read"...well I would had read it. I LOVED Twilight and actually don't think anything could replace it (even know this book was out first), BUT if you are looking for something similar...then this it IT...read it & love it too!
