The Vampire Diaries: The Fury and Dark Reunion

L.J. Smith’s riveting Vampire Diaries continues with two books that are nothing short of spectacular! It begins with The Fury, where Stefan mourns losing Elena who is tricked by Damon into a life-altering exchange of blood. Now she, too, is a vampire driven to near frenzy by her own wild cravings. But Stefan knows that if he is to save her, he must first find a way to end his feud with Damon. In Dark Reunion, Elena, the fallen golden girl, rises from the dead and summons Stefan to fight the most terrifying evil he’s ever faced. But to do so, he must re-create their powerful vampire trio and join with Damon, his reviled brother, whose strength, cunning and deadly charm may be their only chance to defeat the encroaching horror.

WAY better than the series!

I personally enjoyed the books much more than the series. I think they did the author a great dis-service by not sticking with the storyline more closely. The Stephan and Damon from the series are temperamented similar to the ones in the original books, but Elena, not only doesn't look the same, but she is not as feisty as she is in the books. If I had written the book, I would be upset that they changed it so much I think. But the series is pretty good too. (Damon is just hot no matter what format he's in..lol)

I love this series. This book took off where the other one ended. Just wish there was a little more action going on,but all in all a good read.

Had never heard of the books until the tv series came out. Love the show so thought the books would be just as good. Was a little disappointed though. The beginning and middle were slow to start but the end was suspenceful and easy to stay interested in. Was great that it came as a combo as well. Good book to read and great value but not one of my favorites.
