Dewey delights the heart.

I read the adult book prior to purchasing this one. I read this to my second grade class. They loved the illustrations. We are studying a unit on kindness. Dewey fit in perfectly with our theme.

A Great Child's Book
November 09, 2009

I bought this book for my 4 year old granddaughter, who loves to read. This was a great surprise for her. I had also bought her a paint-set, because she loves to paint, also. Once her eye caught the picture of the cat on the front, she could not put that book down, until she had it read. This book also caught the eye of her brother, who is 10 years old, and he, too, wanted to read the book.I think children are like little sponges who cannot get enough, of the wonderful world of animals. This is such a book! A great read! My granddaughter, Emily, made sure that this book went home with her, as she tucked it under her arm going out the door.I heard her tell her mother, "We can read this tonight at bedtime, right mom?" For me, that said it all.

ADORABLE

It is a wonderful story that translates wonderfully into a child's book. It's a story my son enjoys reading over & over again which is what makes a book good. The pictures are great and really draw you into the story.
