Having been raised and raising my children on Christopher Robin, I was a little pessimistic about a "re-creation" of his world. However, my fears were assuaged, as I again entered the 100 Acre Wood. It was very enjoyable. If today's children are not familiar with the previous books, this is a good introduction, and might be an incentive for them to go back and read the originals. It would be best for them to read it with a parent.
