Pete Loader, Dan Dumper, Rescue Rita, Monster Max and the rest of the Trucktown gang reunite to star in the most chomping, stomping collection of poetry you’ll ever see. Three cheers for Jon Scieszka as he kicks 22 beloved nursery rhymes into high gear with his rip-roaringly fun collection of truckery rhymes.
If you love anything and everything with wheels, if you love a smashing good time and read-aloud excitement, then you’ll love these poems. See how three loud trucks ZOOM in a revved up version of “Three Blind Mice.” Then, “Swing Around with Rosie,” Wrecker Rosie, that is, as she smashes and bashes until everything around her falls down. And that’s just for starters. Talk about poetry in extreme motion! (Ages 2-4)

We LOVE this book! It's very creative, and breathes new life into old nursery rhymes, making it interesting even for mommy. My son loves trucks, so it really hold his attention. He even will refer to trucks he sees on the road by their Truckery names - Rescue Rita, Pumper, Ladder, Monster Max, etc. It's fun to "figure" out how they are supposed to be read - to get the nursery rhyme rhythm down, and once you do, they're just great fun. Good variety too - some long, some very short, so it mixes it up a bit. Overall, quite a few pages, so you get your money's worth!

My two year old absolutely loves this book. I got it a few months ago and he knows it by heart. It is filled with great pictures and silly truckery rhymes that will have you going back for more. We read this book so much each day and it's simply the best.

My two year old grandson loves this book. When he comes to Grandma's house, we will read this book at least 5 - 10 times. Not an exageration. When I first read him the book he was afraid of Monster Max and Big Rig. He would stand several feet away but still wanted me to turn pages and read the story. Now, he plops down in my lap and loves the pictures and the rhymes.
