The Boy Who Wouldn't Share

From the wickedly funny minds of gifted comic illustrator David Catrow and Mike Reiss (the Emmy award winning former head writer for The Simpsons) comes a hilarious book about sharing. Greedy, grabby, selfish Edward doesn’t realize just how lucky he is to have a sweet, forgiving little sis like Claire after he’s trapped under an avalanche of toys he refuses to share. Will he ever learn that if he shares with others, others will gladly share with him? Clever rhyming verse and weird and wonderful illustrations throughout make this a fantastic read-aloud for kids and parents alike. This is one book you'll definitely want to share again and again—especially with kids whose favorite words seem to be “Mine! Mine! Mine!” (Ages 2-4)

My 2 year old LOVES this book
October 30, 2009

I bought this book for my 2 year old daughter and she loves it. It reminds me of Dr. Seuss in a way, but it is still cute. I have had to read it multiple times in a row for the last couple of weeks.

My kids love it!
October 12, 2009

A very good story about learning to share. Both of my kids have actually started sharing their toys and I believe it is, at least in part, due to reading this book. This book teaches that sharing is much more fun than being selfish.

This is a great story of the importance of sharing. My son loves this story. We talk about how Edward isn't very nice when he doesn't share with Clare, his sister. He learns a good lesson in the end. I recommend this book to anyone with children who struggle with sharing toys.

My 2 year old loves this book, and insists that we read it every night. It is a great homage to Dr. Seuss, while remaining original.

What a great story surprise this was! With catchy poetry and colorful, funny pictures that help tell a tale of sharing and forgiveness, this was an instant hit at home. Looking forward to more great stories from this author and artwork from the illustrator.
