Ouch! How Your Body Makes It Through A Very Bad Day

You may not realize it, but your body is engaged in a head-to-head battle with germs, while remaining ever alert to the dangers of cuts, choking, and other hazards every day. It’s amazing, but it’s all just a part of the job! Admittedly, a lot of this stuff looks pretty gross, like the Nanocam and computer generated images of pimples erupting, bladders emptying, asthma attacking, and all sorts of tiny creepy crawlies burrowing, well…you don't want to know. But it's really cool, too. This book is truly amazing on its own, but it's even better with the accompanying interactive CD-ROM that takes you on an edge-of-your seat ride through your body with up-close-and-personal 3-D animation! You have to see it to believe it! (Ages 6-9)

My children really like this book, especially my 8-year old, who is totally into exploring things, espeacially loved it. It's cool for adults, too.

no sound

I'm not sure if there is suppose to have sound on the cd-rom.Mine has none.It doesn't explain anything on the cd-rom.I bought this for my 7 year old.She was confused as I was too.I personally don't think this book is geared for this age group to fully understand and stay interested.

The CD Rom included has animation which really entertained my pre-reading son who is interested in the human body.

My kids love this book, specially the DVD. They don't like to read to much but since I got it they only talk about what they have learn from it.

My 8 year old daughter is TOTALLY into this book. We bought it for her for Christmas, and she's been reading portions of it regularly. I highly recommend it.
