The Magicians Nephew starts off in England & takes you to the origins of Narnia... I now appreciate to telling of this story to explain how all the characters in The Witch,The Lion & The Wardrobe got there & their relationship..I'm now halfway through the 6th book in the 7 book series & have enjoyed each one for it's contribution to the whole... Will be satisfied to finish them, but sorry for the ending to come.... then on to my next readings.....enjoy & get the whole series, they are well worth the time.

These stories are great reading for young and old alike. I could hardly put them down and I definitely fall into the "older reader" category! I laughed and cried. Great fantasy writing!

I have been reading through the Chronicles of Narnia collection with my 9 year old daughter. We both enjoy them and look forward to our story time. This book chronicles the beginning of Narnia and how everything came about. If you have read the more popular "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" and enjoyed it then you will enjoy this also.
Some of the vocabulary is from a bygone era and so younger children will need help reading and understanding. Well worth the time to read this and a great way to expose your children to classic literature. Good for adults too!

This book brings back your childhood imagination. It is a slow read as it is written for children but it was a good book.
