I read the Chronicles of Narnia series over 30 years ago, and now my son and I are reading them together b/c of his interest in the Narnia movies that have recently come out. It's a series worth reading all by itself, and definitly a plus if you're seeing the movies, too.

I have owned and read the Narnia books over & over since I was 13. And I'm in my 40s now. Everytime I find something I'd forgotten before. Excellent series for children & adults both. I was so glad someone finally got beyond "Lion, Witch & Wardrobe" in the movies! Be waiting for Caspian on the big screen for over 20 years!

The author spends less time on character development in this second book. He is busy filling in details missing from The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe and laying the groundwork for the remaining books. This all had to be done within the page count of a children's book. Contrast with the Harry Potter books which kept increasing in size.

My opinion is that this book is exceptional one. If you watched the movie then you can better understand the book series. I plan on purchasing all of them. It would be a welcome addition to my book collection. Also if you say it sucks, then maybe you should try and say something more mature.

I have read all four books so far and loved them all.
