My son just loved this one. He wants me to read it every night. Lots of laughs and fabulous illustrations. It's a must have for all.

I loved reading this book to my first grade class. It brings such an imaginative feel to a town, and the story just gets better and better as you read. Never in a child's wildest dreams have they thought of a town where instead of rain or snow there are meatballs and eggs!!! This book is funny and really grasps any child's attention!!!

the hullaballoo over this book. My son read it in school and we went to see the movie together, which I loved. After that, I bought the book and read it for the first time since I was very little. I did not understand why it was so loved...
The illustrations are dull, colorless and unexciting. The entire book is just a person telling a story. There is no dialogue. There is no action that actually seems like action. Most of all, the book fails to follow the number one rule of writing: "show, don't tell!"
All in all, a very dull book. I wish I hadn't purchased it.

I remember this from when I was in school and it is a great joy to share this with my children. This is a wonderful lighthearted story for all ages.

This was one of my children's favorite books so I had to get a new one for my grandchildren so they can know this wonderful story.
