This book is great, my son has me read it every day. We count fruit the caterpillar eats and we make the butterfly "fly" at the end by opening and closing the book. Great read!

I have been reading this book to my 18 month old granddaughter since she was only a few months old. This is now her favorite. The illustrations are beautiful and the story is a quick and easy read. Anything by Eric Carle is a wonderful addition to your child's library.

My 3 year old son loves this book. It's a great tool for teaching your young ones to count. The art is unique and both my son and I have enjoyed this book thoroughly. I would recommend this book to anyone who has young kids at home.

I am a retired preschool teacher and have read this book hundreds of times to the children I taught. It was a favorite to them. Now I am a grandma and both of my grandsons, ages 18 months and 5 years love this book. We read it many times each day that they are here. The artwork is amazing (as are all of Eric Carle's books). This is a true children's classic and I am so proud that I finally own a copy of it for my grandchildren to LOVE.

All of Eric Carles' books are designed to enchant and teach, this one is simply the best. From children to adults every one enjoys the story. The illustrations are so great and once a child listens and sees the story unfold they can not get enough. This is not a put away book it will be used over and over again.
