Being from Maine, we know Blueberries for Sal. I have two young granddaughters and buy many books. I love that this is a Maine story to share with them.

My daughter absolutely loves this book! It's the first one she picks out to read every night. The illustrations are timeless and the story is precious! I remember reading this as a child, and now I am thrilled to share it with my own!

My twin son & daughter loved this story, so it is not gender specific. They loved that the little girl and bear were so curious, but said the girl should have been paying more attention to mommy. This book has a good lesson on paying attention to surroundings and listening to mommy (or daddy)instead of letting your curiousity get the best of you.
