Build a Shark

Everything you need to build a shark is here, including pre-cut pieces made out of sturdy cardstock and clearly labelled for stress-free assembly. No glue or scissors required! One side of the 2½-foot model features the outside of the shark; the other shows its skeleton and organs. Even better, it can be hung from the ceiling for all to see. The lavishly illustrated 32-page guide that comes with the model explains the inner workings of a great white shark’s body. Discover how key body parts such as the jaws, gills, liver, stomach, intestines and sensory organs function and how they help the ocean’s top predator survive, then use the body locator to learn more about each individual part of the model. (Ages 6-9)

Horrible Construction
January 12, 2013

This item is extremely difficult to assemble due to the poor quality of the assembling pieces. The kit should come with tweezers and stiffer cardboard so the connectors don't fray. It was a waste of money.

The directions were not very good. We ended up gluing parts together. The tabs were either too big for the slots or too little. Great concept just needs work on the design.

Shark Kit
December 27, 2012

My son, grandson and I tried and tried to get the little cardboard tabs to fit into the slots, to no success. I had to use pipe cleaners to hold the pieces together. Also, I couldn't figure out how to attach the organs to the body (after 1 hr my son and grandson gave up). It was very difficult, I thought.

bogus feature selection order
December 02, 2012

I never ordered this item, nor did I ever receive an email stating that I needed to respond to (yet another!) featured selection, but did receive an email asking me to rate this item. Which I have not even received. But I have been charged for. So, I have paid for a non-existing item that I did not select, did not want, and have yet to receive. I'm really disappointed in this book club.
