What if trains and their tracks were made out of chocolate-y snacks, trees were lollipops and all the world was food? Carl Warner’s glorious photos of imaginary lands made out of edible ingredients look good enough to eat. Turn to any page of A World of Food to feast your eyes on culinary delights brimming with color, including a desert oasis where pyramids of swiss cheese rise majestically over couscous sand dunes; a pretty pink town with houses made from soft nougat and streets paved in gum drops; a snowy white winter wonderland complete with an ice cream castle atop a white chocolate mountain; and a golden landscape where sunny streams of orange juice tumble over peaches. Talk about a celebration of food! (Ages 4-6)

My girls (4&7) enjoyed the book, but they really went "WoW" when we talked about how they did the pictures. As enjoyable as the book was, the conversation it started was more enjoyable as a father. Watching them go back to the pictures and watching their minds process with fascination really put a smile on my face.
