Carol Heyer’s Humphrey’s First Palm Sunday continues the adventures of the delightfully goofy camel we first met in Humphrey’s First Christmas. He’s three decades older now—but not much wiser.
Humphrey desperately wants to be lead camel in the caravan, but he’s the last camel and he’s not at all happy about that. Then, when the caravan arrives in Jerusalem, Humphrey crosses paths with Jesus making his triumphal entry. Humphrey is delighted to see Jesus, now a grown man, and remembers the Child to whom he gave his coveted blanket all those years ago in Bethlehem.
And then he spots something familiar. A blanket. Could it be…? Well, you’ll have to read this wonderfully charming book to find out. Adults as well as kids will love it.

I've been reading the Christmas story with Humphrey for years. I got very excited to see another story with him! Here Humphrey recognizes Jesus by the blanket the camel gave to Him as a baby in Bethlehem. I love the story, but even more so the illustrations! Humphrey is adorable!!
